MAKE AN INFORMED CHOICE
Looking for wines
with no added sulphites?
Read each producer’s declarations alongside the laboratory data for each wine.
The “no added sulphites” declaration and total SO₂ are different facts. Missing data does not mean zero.
No added sulphites does not mean sulphite-free or guarantee the absence of reactions.
Understand sulphites and lab reportsWhat should you know if wine has caused you discomfort?
Sulphites can occur naturally and trigger reactions in sensitive people. Discomfort after drinking wine can also have other causes.
If you have had a reaction to wine, consult a healthcare professional before drinking it again.
Further information: EFSA: sulphites in food · NHS: food intolerance.
